As a dyslexic learner myself, I always realised that I operated differently to everyone else!  Growing up in the 1980's, schools had little understanding of dyslexia, and it was only through the perseverance of my parents and some understanding  teachers, that I was identified and helped.

30 years later, dyslexia is widely recognised, but due to poor funding in schools, some students are still not being identified and given the help they need.  Dyslexia Support was founded after speaking to a number of parents who were frustrated about the lack of services in the area, and who wanted advice about how to help their children, and to get them assessed.
